Sugar Land, Texas-native Victoria Tillman has opted to remain local for her college years; she gave a verbal commitment to the University of Houston.
“I chose the University of Houston because of its excellence in academics and athletic programs! I am very excited that I get to continue my swimming career with such a close proximity to home. I felt that Coach Ryan would be a great coach for me in my next 4 years of swimming! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me as a cougar!”
A senior at William P. Clements High School, Tillman swims for First Colony Swim Team and specializes in butterfly. She was a B finalist in the 100m fly at Austin Futures this past summer, and was an A finalist in the 50, 100, and 200 butterfly events at the 2016 Dolfin Junior National Championship Cup in March.
Tillman will bring immediate scoring ability to the Cougars in 2017-18. Her 100 fly would have scored in the A final at 2016 AAC Championships; her 200 fly and 400 IM, in the B final. She will enter the University of Houston’s class of 2021 along with the following verbal commits:
