Cal Tech Swim & Dive Teams Release 2015-16 Schedule

PASADENA, Calif. (July 6, 2015) – The Caltech swimming and diving teams have released their schedule for the winter 2015-16 season, which will include four home meets.

Schedule

The Beavers open the season with a SCIAC dual meet at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, Oct. 24 and return to Claremont the following week for the Pomona-Pitzer Swim & Dive Relay Invite on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Caltech’s home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m. with the University of Redlands.  Last year’s meet saw the Bulldogs men quickly knocked back on their heels as Caltech won six of the first eight events before the hosts recovered to post a narrow 119-98 victory.

A single home meet against Cal Lutheran University on Saturday, Dec. 12 breaks up two tough months of training, after which the Beavers hit the stretch run of their schedule with three SCIAC meets in as many weeks.  A double dual meet with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges at Whittier College kicks things off on Saturday, Jan. 16, followed by another double dual with the University of La Verne and Chapman University in Pasadena on Saturday, Jan. 23.  Caltech closes out the regular season hosting Occidental College on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 4 p.m.

The Beavers will take the next two weeks to prepare for the SCIAC Championships, which will be held Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 18-21 in Commerce, Calif., with a number of Beaver eyeing the NCAA Championships in Greensboro, N.C. from March 16-19.
