Caley Oquist grew up in a small town in Central Minnesota where she learned to swim at the age of four. She found her passion to write when her mother was diagnosed with cancer at the age of nine and has been writing ever since. Apart from her love for the sport and writing, she is also a faithful football fan and finds a lot of joy in fitness and nutrition.
Caley is an LSU graduate who swam all four years, qualified for NCAA each year and owns 2 individual records in the 100 and 200 backstroke. She also is apart of the record breaking 400 medley relay. She graduated in sport administration and leadership development, and was named the 2016 student-athlete class representative and is a keynote speaker at the student-athlete graduation ceremony.
Although Caley has finished her personal swimming career, she is still is so invested and wants to be able to continue to give back to the sport that gave her so much in return. Although she is moving back to Minnesota for the time being, she will always be a tiger at heart.
