Arena, one of the world’s leading brands in aquatic sports, is pleased to announce the renewal of the sponsorship with Canadian butterfly and freestyle swimmer Katerine Savard and also the signing of two new sponsorships with Canadian breastroke swimmer Kelsey Wog and Canadian freestyle sprinter Yuri Kisil.

Katerine Savard, 23-year-old from Pont-Rouge, Quebec, is becoming a veteran on the arena Elite Team after having competed and winning in Commonwealth Games, Pan Am Games, two Olympics and many World Championships. Katerine continues to swim with Camo swimt team under Claude St-Jean and her experience will truly benefit her new teamates. Last December, at the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships (25-m) in Windsor, Ont., Savard took part in four individual events along with three relays. Savard made the finals in all four of her individual events, with the best result being a 4th place finish in the 100-m butterfly in a new Canadian record time of 56.15. Savard had a personal best time in the 200-m freestyle and a new Canadian record in the 50-m butterfly. She finished off her individual events with a 7th place finish in the 200-m butterfly.

At the same competition, Savard earned a gold medal in the 4×200-m freestyle that set a new Canadian record. She also earned a silver medal in the 4×100-m medley relay.

In the same event at her second Olympic games, Savard was a part of the 4×200-m freestyle relay in Rio that won a bronze medal and broke the Canadian record.

At the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, Savard earned a bronze medal in the 100-m butterfly. She also finished fourth in the 200-m freestyle.

Kelsey Wog, 18-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, is currently competing at the national and international level and is presently one of the finest breastroke swimmer  in the country.

At the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Hawaii later in 2016, she won two individual medals as well as silver with her 4x100m medley relay team.

At the 2016 Canada West Swimming Championships, Kelsey brought home three gold medals and one silver, and was awarded “Rookie of the meet” for the University of Manitoba Bisons where she swims under Vlastimil Cerny. In December 2016, Kelsey competed for Canada at the FINA World Swimming Championships, her first competition at a senior international level. There, she won a silver medal in the 200m breaststroke, and finished fourth in the 4x50m medley relay.

Yuri Kisil, 21-year-old from Calgary, Alberta is presently the fastest freestyle swimmer in the country. Yuri Kisil was a triple medallist at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, reaching the podium as part of all three relays, including anchoring the 4x100m freestyle relay to silver. Immediately following, he made his FINA World Championship debut, winning a bronze medal as part of the inaugural mixed 4x100m freestyle relay. He is currently swimming at UBC under Tom Johnson and was named for the first time to Canada’s Olympic team for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. In his Olympic debut at Rio 2016, Kisil advanced to the semifinals of the 100m freestyle and the final of the 4x100m freestyle relay.
