Ireland’s Dan Wiffen was competing at the Westmont Pro Swim last weekend, swimming the 800 and 1500 and placing 3rd in both. Wiffen has been training at Cal this season and is enjoying the change of scenery from Loughborough, although he says the training itself is pretty similar.
Wiffen is getting ready for the Irish Championships at the beginning of next month, which will look like tapering in Atlanta while he is watching his brother, Nathan, compete at NCAAs before heading to Dublin.

Is he Irish or Brit
great, now we gotta keep an eye on the twins and make sure Daniel doesn’t accidentally take Nathan’s place in an event
That would be a new level of Cal international in-season recruiting 😂
Surprised he didn’t promise to break 3 WRs by at least 10 seconds each
WHERE IS THE MEETING SAINT RAPHAEL LIVE RECAP??
Why is a non NCAA swimmer allowed to use the facility?? Can my dad come swim laps too?
Rowdy also swims in between sessions. Do you want to kick him out? There’s plenty of time where the facility is not in use.
Watching rowdy swim between sessions – – perfectly paced laps with equal stroke count and picture perfect high elbow.
The man is a Swiss watch.
How’s his reaction time though? Does he breathe to his left or just his right?
Breathes every three, which means he can see him, and him… <– S –>
Rowdy has a media credential. I’m sure Cal will probably tag Daniel as a “manager” or something so he can be on deck.
Interesting!
Off topic but is it my problem or the swimrankings website goes down?
Says maintenance and the European Aquatics that pull from their database is also down (no data) right now.
I have also found that it is very sensitive to small inaccuracies such as including or not including www.
Seems to be up for me now.
