Thomas Ceccon, Marie Sophie-Harvey & Grant House Headed To 2026 Lausanne Swim Cup

2026 LAUSANNE SWIM CUP

The 2026 Lausanne Swim Cup is nearly upon us, with the three-day competition kicking off Friday, March 13th.

As in years past, a host of international talent is set to take to the Vaudoise Aréna pool, giving us multiple must-see match-ups both on the men’s and women’s sides.

Olympic medalists Noe Ponti and Roman Mitykov highlight the domestic roster, with the former entered in the 50m free and 50m/100m fly events while the latter has a hefty five-event lineup including his signature trio of backstroke races.

Maxime Grousset of France, a 2024 Olympic relay medalist and reigning multi-world champion, heads up a strong French contingent. Joining the 26-year-old are teammates Clement Secchi, Mewen Tomac, Yohann Ndoye-Brouard, Beryl Gastaldello, Marie Wattel and others.

There is a sprinkling of additional notables, including versatile Mary-Sophie Harvey of Canada, entered in a monster repertoire of seven events.

World record holder Thomas Ceccon of Italy is also entered in seven events, as Dutch Olympic medalist Caspar Corbeau is sticking to his bread-and-butter breaststroke contests.

Grant House is the lone American, with the former Arizona State University standout ready to race the men’s 50m/100m/200m free, 50m back, 50m breast, 100m fly and 200m IM events.

Grant house in the title over Grousset, Corbeau and Ponti is one of the decisions of all time.

Ponti is there and you mention House in the title instead?

House has NEVER made a senior international team, yet continues his “pro” career. Just retire, Grant.

He is in fact currently on the USA Swimming Team roster for the 200 IM.

I’m guessing spite plays a part.

There is ‘spite’ obviously present but coming from commenters, not from House.

Putting House in the headline ahead of Olympic medalists and world record holders is…. something.
