Lauren Harville is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University, as well as a swim coach. She is currently conducting research for her graduate thesis titled “The Healing Lane: Exploring Swim Coaches’ Perspectives Regarding the Influence of Year-Round Swimming as a Tool for Emotional and Mental Functioning for Youth.”

A meaningful initiative that bridges athletics and mental health research in a powerful way. Efforts like this can help strengthen support systems for swimmers while advancing evidence-based understanding of sport’s emotional benefits.
