University of Indianapolis junior Jeremias Pock made it a breaststroke record double at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships, following up his Division II NCAA mark in the 100 on Friday by shattering the 200 record on Saturday.

Pock stopped the clock at 1:51.26, winning by nearly six seconds and going under 1:52 for the first time in his career. He broke another Anton Lobanov record, bettering the 1:51.71 the Nova Southeastern swimmer set in 2015. His time ranks ninth across all divisions so far this season.

Entering the competition, Pock’s lifetime best was the 1:52.08 he clocked to take win at this meet last year.

Pock opened in 25.31 through the first 50, just off Lobanov’s 25.23 split, then clocked 28.01 on the second 50 compared to Lobanov’s 28.20, reaching the halfway mark in 53.32, nine one-hundredths under record pace. Pock then split under 29 again on the third 50, hitting 28.82 compared to Lobanov’s 29.23 split, putting him 0.52 under record pace with a 50 to go. He closed in a time of 29.12, and while Lobanov’s record pace crept back up on him marginally by seven one-hundredths, he held on to lower the longstanding record by 0.45.

When Pock set his previous best time, he split 25.18/28.20/29.04/29.66, so he was essentially even on the first 100 before finding a better closing gear.

Earlier this week, in addition to his breaststroke records, Pock won the 200 IM with a new school and conference record of 1:43.63 and set a meet record en route to gold in the 400 IM (3:43.80).

Additionally, Pock helped the Greyhounds win both medley relays. He split 50.80 in the 400 medley relay (3:07.90), a new conference and program record and the fastest time in Division II this season, and 23.06 in the 200 medley relay, the second-fastest time this year. In the 200 free relay, he anchored in 19.39 to help UIndy place second in 1:19.05, the eighth-ranked time in D2.

Pock joined the Greyhounds last season and immediately made an impact, clocking 52.21 and 1:52.87 in the breaststroke events within his first few weeks with the team. At last year’s conference championships, he won the 200 breast (1:52.08) and 200 IM (1:44.26), in addition to securing runner-up finishes in the 100 breast (52.08) and 400 IM (3:47.19).

At the 2025 NCAA D2 Championships, Pock won the 400 IM (3:44.03) and racked up a trio of other top-three finishes: second in the 200 IM (1:44.26) and 200 breast (1:53.04), and third in the 100 breast (52.34), helping UIndy finish fifth overall in the team standings.

The UIndy men regained their GLVC conference title, scoring 1853.5 points to clear 2nd-place Drury by 221.5 points, after falling to third in 2025. Drury remains the favorite to win the men’s NCAA crown this season, holding over a 200-point cushion over both McKendree and UIndy in the Swimulator. The Greyhounds, however, do look poised to improve upon their 5th-place finish from last season.

Not too bad by DII standards.

One guy at the GLVC meet was 28.

Yeah…I mean he’s 7 months younger than Luca, though he’ll be a few months older than Luca at their respective last college meets (assuming Pock swims next season).
