Just last weekend, Mila Nikanorov set a new Ohio State school record and became the #9 performer all-time in the women’s 1000 freestyle as she touched in a 9:22.37 against Michigan.

This weekend, the Buckeyes traveled to Austin for the Eddie Reese Showdown. Nikanorov swam a season best 1:47.20 200 free and a 4:37.93 500 free. The team departed a day early due to travel concerns.

The sophomore looks to return to NCAAs after making the meet as a freshman a year ago. She was the top individual scorer for the Buckeyes at the 2025 NCAA Championships as she finished 6th in the 500 free (4:36.38) and 7th in the 1650 free (15:51.95).
