Han and Schoeck faced off for the 4th time this meet, with Schoeck victorious in the 1000 free on Day 1 but Han winning the 500 free and 400 IM on days 2 and 3. Tonight, the two were neck and neck throughout the first 1000 yards, with mere tenths separating them. At around the 1200 mark however, Han began splitting in 29 range per 50, while Schoeck never breached that barrier, consequently pulling ahead.
Schoeck, a Texas commit, dipped under the 16 minute mark for the first time in her career with that swim, and did so by a large margin: her previous best was 16:01.49, from March of this year. Her swim puts her at #22 all time in the 17-18 age group, just ahead of Claire Weinstein.
Han meanwhile, was just off her PB of 15:56.07, which was set at Winter Juniors last year. Tonight’s swim was her 2nd fastest time ever and just her 3rd time under 16 minutes.

The Streamline Aquatics swimmer ended up dropping nearly 28 seconds, as his previous best was 15:29.34.
It was all Gabriel Manteuful in the men’s 1650, as he took the lead on the first 100 and never looked back. In his sole event of the meet, he defended his title from last year and shaved 0.90 seconds off his PB of 14:41.11. The swim marks his first best time in the event since Winter Juniors in 2023 and moves him up to #9 all time in the 17-18 age group.
The race behind Manteufel was much closer, as the next 3 swimmers were separated by just over 2 seconds. Whitaker Steward trailed behind his Tsunami Swim Team teammate Ellis Crisci by over 4 seconds at the 500 mark, but began cutting down that lead as the race went on. Crisci, who is committed to Texas, was ultimately able to hang on for 2nd place however, and posted a huge personal best to do so. The swim marked Crisci’s first time under 15 minutes, as he entered the meet with a PB of 15:12.83, set at last year’s Winter Juniors. Steward, a Tennessee commit, was slightly off his PB of 14:51.63.
