After being relegated to swimming in the morning timed finals heats of the 400 IM in Carmel, Shaine Casas got to swim in the Top-8 final at night in Westmont. The difference showed as Casas went out fast and never looked back. The World Champs medalist dropped 6 seconds from his PB (which he swam in Carmel) to touch at 3:57 and beat his training partner, Carson Foster, who won the event in Carmel.
