Carson Foster enters Singapore with a World Championships schedule that pits him against some of the deepest fields of the meet. Having been announced as a captain of Team USA for these World Championships, securing medals will be a definite challenge for the 23-year-old.

Headlining Foster’s lineup is his tough double on the 30th of July. The 200 fly semifinals right before the 200 IM final is a daunting combination. Foster’s recovery will need to be pretty stellar if Foster wants to secure a medal for the US.
In the 200 IM, Foster is on the outside looking in on the podium based on his 4th-seeded entry time. With the top three seeds Leon Marchand, Duncan Scott, and Shun Wang all at least .3 seconds ahead of Foster, holding off American teammate Shaine Casas will be a challenge of its own.
One of Foster’s top events, the 400 IM, fortunately, falls on the final day of competition for Foster. He is seeded nearly five seconds behind Marchand’s top-seeded time of 4:02.95. With no events on the 2nd of August for Foster, he will have a full day of recovery before this showdown in the event where he won Olympic silver in Paris.
Foster will likely be a key part of the US’s 4×200 free relay in Singapore. Foster has been a part of multiple medal-winning US 4×200 free relays. As a part of the gold medal-winning relay for the US in Budapest at the World Championships in 2022, Foster split a 1:45.04 to help the Americans top the podium. Foster also split a 1:44.49 in Fukuoka at the World Championships, and a 1:45.31 split in Paris last summer, both races finishing in the silver medal position.

Carson is the 5th seed of 200 free , and for sure is will not get a free pass to the final directly, he should earn it, can see Hobson and Rex are getting free passes, though carson is busy he is the 5th Guy. Rex is busy than jet..so jet ll swim prelims. Or probably if both hobson and jet swims well individually, they both along with rex will have free passes while,
Prelims – Mijatovic, Guiliano, Foster and Macfedden
And fastest relay split owner will join with Hobson, jet, rex
Should be Jett/McFadden/Maurer/Guiliano in prelims and fastest two join Hobson and Foster in finals
Downvotes aren’t watching the same sport
Where’s my schedule preview? Since everyone getting one these days 💀
youre irrelevant
Carson Foster is a Temu Lochte
let’s go Car!!!!
(also didnt he split 1:43.9 at one point?)
Yes he did , doha 2024, he had clean water ahead of him thanks to Hobson and comparatively slow leadoffs. And that lane no 08 clearly played a big role too for that big split..
