The 51st edition of the 2025 European Junior Championships wrapped up last night from the X-bionic® sphere Pool in Šamorín, Slovakia. The championships featured girls aged 14-17 and boys aged 15-18, with 666 swimmers (308 girls and 358 boys) from 51 countries competing. This year’s meet represented the second-ever continental championship hosted by Slovakia after last week’s U23 meet.

Girls’ 200 Backstroke:
John Shortt wins bronze in the 200 back. Just like the semi, he got far too close to the lane line hitting it and this time it cost him momentum. That's something he can brush up on. His under water on the turn is excellent. pic.twitter.com/sopGvgdxnV
