The University of Texas women’s swimming won’t be within 100 points of the University of Virginia women’s swimming.

Coleman — don’t forget about katie grimes for virginia! alex, gretchen, claire, aimee, leah, AND katie (also anna moesch) make the hoos untouchable. I think the battle for 2-6 will be much, much closer (maybe within that 40 point range).

honestly was shocked they both forgot about her. immediate scorer in 3 individual events, and should be favored to win 1 or 2 of them? If we are assuming 500/1650 free (has the fastest PBs in the NCAA) and 4 IM (only AW has been faster than her)

i also think its super interesting to look ahead at uva vs texas next year as well. adding grimes makes uva MUCH stronger looking forward, and texas will have some big losses of their own after this season as well

UVA loses a lot, especially in the sprint relays post-Walshes and Parker, but Texas will have challenges of their own in that regard after losing Sticklen, Longi, and Cooper. Plus Hailey Hernandez, Abby Arens, and Olivia Bray depart (has Bray been swimming yet this season?). They might lose (hot take) more of their NCAA scoring points than UVA.

I’d put Florida in the mix, although they will lose Emma… Read more »

Tess Howley and Emma Weber are almost definite points scorers as well. Novelline, Wilson, Skirboll, Tiltmann, Bathurst are on the cusp.

Coleman Hodges

Coleman started his journey in the water at age 1, and although he actually has no memory of that, something must have stuck. A Missouri native, he joined the Columbia Swim Club at age 9, where he is still remembered for his stylish dragon swim trunks. After giving up on …
