Bronx, N.Y. – (November 8, 2024) – The Fordham swimming & diving team hosted Boston College on Friday afternoon at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center, sweeping both competitions from the Eagles for the first time since 2009. The Fordham women posted a 155-145 win, while the men took a 157-141 decision.
On the women’s side, Fordham placed first in nine events, led by Ainhoa Martin, who won three events on the day. She took first in the 200 butterfly (2:03.55), the 200 breaststroke (2:18.29), and the 200 individual medley (2:03.81), She was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay with Leire Martin, Emma Shaughnessy, and Allison Kim that took first in 1:44.52.
Jessica Zebrowski was also a multiple event winner on Friday, taking first in the 100 freestyle (52.54) and 100 butterfly (56.24), while Shaughnessy (100 breaststroke – 1:03.65), Mya Bokerman (1M diving – 258.53), and Mya Sharkey (3M diving – 259.43) rounded out the event win for Fordham.
On the men’s side, the Rams also won nine events, two of which were in the relay events. The 200 medley relay team of Christian Taylor, David Topi, Vitalis Onu, and Alexander Shah took first in 1:30.21, while the 400 freestyle relay of Taylor, Daniel Ribeiro, Theo Vandenberg, and Shah placed first in 3:02.64.
Individually, Ribeiro added a pair of event wins in the 100 backstroke (48.83) and the 100 freestyle (45.65). Noah Althoff (200 freestyle – 1:39.96), Topi (100 breaststroke – 56.15), Shah (50 freestyle – 20.79), Taylor (200 backstroke – 1:50.62), and Daniel Langlois (200 individual medley – 2:02.95) also won events on Friday.
The Rams will next be in action on November 22-24, as they travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, for the Bucknell Invitational.

BRONX, N.Y. – The Boston College Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving team fell to Fordham in a dual meet on Friday afternoon at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.
The Eagles and the Rams competed in 32 total events, with BC ultimately falling to Fordham 141-157 on the Men’s side and 145-155 on the Women’s side.
The Eagles earned 14 first place finishes throughout the evening, including two diving events.
Megan Kramer and Ben Huffman placed first overall in the Men’s and Women’s 1000 yard freestyle. Kramer touched the wall at 10:15.10, while Huffman finished with a time of 9:35.62. Kramer also finished first in the Women’s 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:58.62, while Huffman placed first in the Men’s 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:39.23.
Lauren Lee earned two individual first place finishes on the night for the Eagles. Lee finished first in the Women’s 200 yard freestyle (1:54.30) and the Women’s 50 yard freestyle (24.35)
Samantha Smith and Jack Doyle also both earned two first place finishes each during the meet on Friday. Smith placed first in the Women’s 100 and 200 yard backstroke events, while Doyle earned the top finishes in the 200 yard freestyle and 200 yard IM.
Peter Nolan touched the wall at 50.56 in the Men’s 100 yard butterfly to earn first place.
The Women’s 400 yard relay team of Lauren Lee, Elizabeth Oliphant, Stefanie Burgess, and Madison Connor took home the top spot.
Anthony Rosenberger and Angus Williams both finished the night with a first place finish each. Rosenberger competed in the Men’s 1 meter diving, while Williams competed in the Men’s 3 meter diving.
