Post Army vs. Boston University Meet Reactions
“Saturday morning turnarounds can always be tough – especially this time of year. I think our team did a great job at bringing energy, attention to detail, and fun to our meet against BU this morning!
Our divers did an awesome job getting the day rolling with some outstanding dives this morning. They cleaned things up from last night and dove really well. Shout out to Minh Donnell on an outstanding meet – nearly breaking our pool record on the 1 meter! She’s had many great meets in Crandall Pool over the years, but this had to be her best and most consistent!
On the swimming side, we mixed things up a bit to see what other events could be possibilities for our big meets to come over the next few months. I was impressed at how our team got excited to swim unfamiliar races – we learned a lot about our versatility and depth.
Now, we need to use this weekend to rest, recover, get ahead on schoolwork, and to set ourselves up for an awesome next week of training!” – Director of Swimming & Diving Brandt Nigro
“Overall, everyone performed really well today. There were a few minor mistakes, but things are looking good.” – Head Diving Coach Connor Dorff
“This was a great weekend of competition for the Army team as we come closer to ‘America’s Meet’. We’ve been training hard this ‘Rocktober’ and it’s awesome to see it pay off at meets like this. We had a great practice prior to the meet, and reengaged once it started. The energy was high and the love of the sport even more so. Shout out to the Boston Terriers for coming out and competing in the waters of friendly strife. Similarly, thank you to the Army family for the support. Make Chaos Reign, It Will Be Done, Go Army, Beat Navy.” – Owen Harlow
“What an incredible meet for the dive team today! The divers are really getting into a good rhythm now, showcasing the hard work they’ve put in behind the scenes. A special shout-out to Alex Zhang for securing his first collegiate win—and to all those achieving their first NCAA zone cuts of the season! It’s inspiring to see the team’s dedication paying off, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish next! Let’s keep the momentum going!” – Minh Donnell
“I’m super proud of the team for a great weekend of racing! With the days counting down to Army-Navy, it was an important meet to practice getting our hands on the wall first. Everyone stepped up in their events and BU put up strong competition. We’re looking forward to racing them again at Patriots! Thank you to the Army fans for all the support!” – Catriona Gilmore
