Trio of Marlins of Raleigh swimmers make verbal commitments

Cary, NC: A Trio of Marlins Of Raleigh swimmers have announced their verbal commitments for college swimming.  Cameron Brown will attend Florida State University, Will Close will attend the University of North Carolina, and Conor Hale will swim at Nova Southeastern in Florida.

 

Cameron Brown is a mid distance freestyler and butterflyer.  She will swim for new FSU coach Frank Bradley.   Her top times are 1:52.58/2:07.77 in the 200 Free SC/LC and 2:03.39 200 yard fly along with 4:28.46 LC 400 freestyle. Cameron is a dynamic leader and hard worker.

 

Will Close specializes in the butterfly events.  He will swim for Rich Deselm at UNC.  His strength is butterfly where he has been 50.95/57.1 in 100 fly and 1:50.2/2:05.3 200 fly.  Will is very vocal captain and an outstanding student.

 

Conor Hale is a breastroke specialist.  He will swim for coach Hollie Bonewit-Chron at Nova Southeastern, a Division II power in Florida. Conor’s strength is Breaststroke where he has shown rapid improvement the past year going 1:01.2/1:08.93 100 Breast SC/LC and 2:08.78/2:26.65 200 Breast SC/LC.

 

“We’re very proud of all 3 of these swimmers and know they will succeed in college under these outstanding coaches.  They all are hard workers and have high goals for the upcoming year.”  said MOR head coach Paul Silver.
