NEW ORLEANS — The Tulane swimming team rolled past West Florida in the team’s final regular season meet on Saturday, winning with a 124.5-80.5 score at home.
The Green Wave earned wins in 7 of the 11 events in the meet, handing the Argonauts their second loss of the season.
Freshman Elena Gingras was successful in the 1000 Free, winning the event with a time of 10:28.93.
Bella Lojewski followed theme in the 200 Free with a win of her own and I finish of 1:55.07.
The 200 IM was dominated by the Green Wave with Gianna Spermullo, Mya Drost-Parra and Autumn Keats-O’Connor grabbing the one, two and three spots respectively.
Sam Krew and Quinlan Hinerfeld claimed the next two victories in the 100 free and the 100 back.
The day was capped off with a relay win from the team of Danielle Titus, Eleanor McMeen, Riley Hendrix and Krew.

NEW ORLEANS, La.- To end the regular season, the No. 6 Argonauts fell to Tulane 124.5-80.5 on Saturday afternoon. West Florida finished first in four events on the day with two wins in relays and two individual events by Aimee Patterson and Stefanie Markwardt.
UWF kicked off the meet with a solid performance in the 200 medley relay. Nina Imboden, Brooke Dorr, Morgan Despres, and Markwardt hit the wall first (1:48.26).
Yael Danieli and Sofia Kendzior had great performances in the 1000 free, solidifying second (10:39.75) and third (10:42.00), respectively. In the 200 free, it was Kathryn Mipro who led the Blue and Green charge. Mipro secured third (1:55.98) while Imboden and Tori Johnston claimed fifth (1:57.75) and sixth (2:00.62).
Patterson grabbed the first individual victory for the Argos in the 50 free as she touched the wall in 25.13. The next individual win would come from Markwardt in the 100 fly with a time of 56.41. In the 100 free, Despres hit the wall in third (53.75) with Patterson and Mipro shortly behind claiming fourth (54.81) and fifth (54.91). Imboden earned herself a top-three finish in the 100 back in 59.43. In the second distance event on the day, Shannah Dillman came in second with 5:12.41 in the 500 free. Meanwhile, Kendzior was close behind in fourth to grab more points.
In the second to last event of the meet, Mikayla Puckett claimed third in the 100 breast (1:09.53) followed by Ellie Rothfuss in fourth (1:09.69) and Lutnya Bogdanova in fifth (1:10.34). The Argonauts crushed the 200 free relay with a first place finish composed of Patterson, Dorr, Despres, and Markwardt.
The Argonauts will have a few more weeks to prepare for the New South Intercollegiate Swimming Conference Championships beginning Feb. 15 through Feb. 18 in Cleveland, Miss.
