“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to Kenyon College!! Thank you to my friends, family, and coaches who have helped me reach my goals in swimming. And thank you to Coach Jess for showing interest in me and helping me find that Kenyon truly is the place for me!! Go Lords and Ladies!! 🟣⚪”

Manske swims for Sante Fe Aquatic Club out of Santa Fe, NM. In March at the Four Corners Sectionals, he achieved best times in the 1650 freestyle (16:22.88) and the 200 butterfly (1:55.62). He continued his success into the summer, as in May at the NMAA Boys State Championships, he earned best times in the 500 freestyle (4:44.38, 4:39.38 altitude adjusted) and 100 backstroke (52.17). A day later, he also earned a best time in the 200 backstroke (1:52.18, 1:50.98 altitude adjusted) at a spring invitational.

This summer, he attended Austin Sectionals, where he earned long course best times in the 400 (4:12.00), 800 (8:44.70), and 1500 (16:34.98) freestyles, 100 (1:01.02) and 200 (2:10.21) backstrokes, and the 200 butterfly (2:09.58). Those swims also earned him 11th place in the 1650 freestyle, 13th in the 800 freestyle, 20th in the 400 freestyle, 12th in the 200 backstroke, 32nd in the 100 backstroke, and 15th in the 200 butterfly.

Manske began his senior year this fall at Saint Michaels High School in Santa Fe. While at the NMAA Boys State Championships in May, he was runner-up in both the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke.

His best short course times are:

  • 100 backstroke: 52.17
  • 200 backstroke: 1:52.18 (1:50.98 alt. adjusted)
  • 100 butterfly: 52.97
  • 200 butterfly: 1:55.62
  • 500 freestyle: 4:44.38 (4:39.38 alt. adjusted)
  • 1000 freestyle: 9:53.25 (9:48.25 alt. adjusted)
  • 1650 freestyle: 16:22.88

Kenyon College is a private college located in Gambier, Ohio. The school is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). The 2021 NCAC Conference Championships and Division III Championships were both canceled due to COVID-19, but the Kenyon men captured the NCAC conference title back in 2020.

Based on his best times, Manske has the potential to make an immediate impact at Kenyon. His best times would have earned him an ‘A’ final swim in the 200 backstroke as well as ‘B’ final swims in the 500 and 1650 freestyles, 100 and 200 butterflys, and 100 backstroke.

Manske will arrive on campus next fall as a member of the class of 2026 along with Niko Theodos.
