Sergio Lopez is one of the best coaches in the world. He is also one of the best interviews in swimming. In this interview with Garrett McCaffrey, Lopez has some pretty awesome one liners. “I don’t care if your Ryan Murphy or Peter Pan you gotta believe,” amongst others. It’s his honest that makes Lopez so refreshing to talk with, and why not be honest about one of the best swimming programs in the world? Lopez talks about Murphy’s work ethic and that of his teammates, like Joseph Schooling who can not only hold :28 averages on 30 50s LCM fly on 1:00 but can rip a :25 on number 30. This one is a must watch.

Anyway, if he doesn’t qualify this year, it will be for the next times. He’s the future… Read more »
