Nicholas “Nick” Garrepy, a current high school senior from Rollinsford, New Hampshire, has committed to swim for Division I Providence College. Garrepy will graduate from Marshwood High School in spring 2020 and join the Friars’ class of 2024.
Garrepy currently swims for Seacoast Swimming Association and Marshwood High School. At the 2019 Eastern Senior Zones Championships, Garrepy placed 8th in the 1500 LCM freestyle with a time of 16:40.80. He specializes specifically in the distance freestyle events.

At the 2020 Big East Swimming & Diving Championships, Garrepy would have placed 12th in the 1650 freestyle with his current best time of 16:20.91. He would have been Providence’s second fastest mile swimmer behind Justin Viotto who took 2nd place in the 1650 (15:34.07). He dropped 39.61 seconds in that race at Big East.

- 200 freestyle – 1:48.11
- 500 freestyle – 4:45.83
- 1,000 freestyle – 9:48.67
- 1650 freestyle – 16:20.91
At the Big East Championships this year, Providence placed 5th as a team. Two members were named to the All-Big East team and 21 team records were broken.
