Hannah Marsh (no relation to the famous coach) will not be traveling far from home as the San Diego, California native will keep her talents in the Golden State committing to Cal State Bakersfield. The Poway High School senior will have only a three hour drive to make her collegiate debut with the Lady Roadrunners this Fall.
I am really excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim Division 1 at Cal State Bakersfield! I am so happy to be a part of this amazing team for the next four years! Marsh is currently finishing her senior season at Poway High School and swims club for Bay Club Aquatics of the San Diego-Imperial LSC. She shows her greatest strength in the middle-distance freestyle events and secondsary specialties in both butterfly and IM events. She earned 4th-place finishes in both the 500 freestyle and 200 butterfly events at the 2018 Sierra-Imperial Winter Age Group Championship this past December.

Marsh’s 200 butterfly best time would have earned a consolation finals spot in the 2019 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) championships this past season and second best for Cal State Bakersfield. She gives the Lady Roadrunners point-scoring potential as a freshman and is a strong addition for 11-year veteran Coach Chris Hansen’s 2019 recruiting class.
