DIRECTOR OF COMPETITIVE SWIMMING
The Director of Competitive Swimming is responsible for overseeing the administration and operation of all aspects of the South Shore YMCA’s Swim Team department. Wichita Swim Club was formed in 1954 and has seen swimmers selected to US Olympic teams, the US Paralympic team, as well as many USA International teams. WSC has nearly 300 swimmers in its competitive programs and an average of 400-600 swimmers in its swim school program. WSC owns and operates its own 50 meter x 25 yard pool and facility on the campus of The Independent School, a private school in Wichita. Wichita is the largest city in the state of Kansas.
