Bromer and Nielsen Clean Up at West Danish Regional Championships

While Julie Kepp Jensen was breaking multiple national junior records at the East Danish Regional Championships Viktor Bromer and Mie Ø Nielsen were collecting one gold after another at the West Danish Regional Championships.

Bromer posted season’s bests in the 100 butterfly (53.67), 100 backstroke (58.37) and 200 IM (2:04.85). He also put up his fastest time of 2016 in the 200 butterfly dominating the event finishing over 10 seconds ahead of the field.

Nielsen put up season’s bests in 50 (25.75) and 100 freestyle (55.56). She was also victorious in the 50 and 100 backstroke, winning the 50 in a time of 28.54 and the 100 in a time of 1:00.71. Nielsen recorded faster times in both events at the Edinburgh International the week before winning the 50 in a time of 28.09 and the 100 in a time of 59.16.

Also notable that Bromer swam the 400 free in butterfly – the splits:
59.84 – 2:06.00 – 3:11.22 – 4:13.75
