Nathan – I’ve never seen the stands packed like that (Video)

Produced by Coleman Hodges.

Reported by Anne Lepesant.

It’s a start, a turn, and a finish, and then it’s done. Santo Condorelli was out fastest and home fastest, and thus earned the national title, clocking a swift 48.05. Trojan Swim Club’sVladimir Morozov was second at the turn, and although California Aquatics’ Nathan Adrian outsplit him coming home, he was able to hold on for the silver with 48.51. Adrian had to settle for bronze with 48.60.

Condorelli improved his season-best by 6/10 and rose to the top of the leaderboard for the 2015-16 year.

That closing speed is the highlight – the 100 free will be won in the last 15 next year

That was actually Condoelli’s second fastest swim, not his lifetime best. He swam a 47.98 leading off the the Canadian relay at the Pan Ams…still very impressed with his 48.05 though, could be a threat next year if he can stay consistent.

Wow, 48.0 for Condorelli. Great swim! That is a pretty significant improvement on his part, I think at NCAA’s last year he didn’t quite final as I recall. He’s still training with Salo right? Is he deferring for the year?

48.60 for Nathan just in november , i would call that super decent . How many tines did he get a 48. mid this year ? not many that i can recall . He is way more fit for the 50 now – 21.7 seems like butter for him now … he can get to 21.3 or better next year . he is the most serious challenger for Manaudou in the 50 free next year , Well done
