It will also be Alabama’s second Southeastern Conference meet of the season after taking on Auburn in early October. Saturday will be South Carolina’s second dual meet and third meet of the season, but first against SEC competition.

The Crimson Tide men are led by two-time NCAA champion Kristian Gkolomeev as well as All-Americans Anton McKee, Luke Kaliszak and Connor Oslin, all from the junior class. All four men are ranked in the top-10 nationally in their specialties. On the women’s side, senior Emma Saunders, sophomore Mia Nonnenberg and junior Bridget Blood lead the way for Alabama. All three women competed at last year’s NCAA Championships and Nonnenberg and Blood are ranked in the top-10 nationally in the individual medley and breaststroke events, respectively.

The Gamecock men are led by Akaram Mahmoud, Nils Wich-Glasen and Tom Peribonio, who are ranked in the top-10 nationally, in the distance, breaststroke and individual medley races coming into this weekend.  On the women’s side of the slate, South Carolina is led by Paige Maynard in the butterfly events, Emma Barksdale in the individual medley races and Meredith Vay in the sprints.
