RedHawks Travel to Eastern Michigan Saturday

OXFORD, Ohio – In its Mid-American Conference opener, the Miami University women’s swimming and diving team is back in the pool on Saturday, Oct. 24 to face Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m. at the Michael H. Jones Natatorium in Ypsilanti, Mich.

The RedHawk women are coming off an action-packed weekend, losing the season opener to Purdue on Friday, 185-106, then bouncing back to dominate Xavier on Saturday, 144-96. Miami looks to extend its record to 2-1 on the season, after winning every event against Xavier.

Senior Sara Krueger had a strong opening weekend, finishing in the top three in five different events between Purdue and Xavier. For her efforts, she was selected the Mid-American Conference Women’s Co-Swimmer of the Week.

Eastern Michigan finished second in the MAC Championships last year, while finishing with a dual meet record of 6-1-1. Saturday’s meet will be the first time that the Eagles compete in the 2015-16 season.
