NCAP has now five new National Age Group Record holders through one day of the 2015 NCSA Junior National Championships.

First, Matthew Hirschberger broke the 1000 free record individually, and then, four of his teammates took down the 17-18, and 15-18, National Age Group Records in the 200 yard free relay.

The team:

  • James Jones (20.25)
  • Andrew Seliskar (19.41)
  • Grant Goddard (20.31)
  • John Shebat (19.58)

The old 17-18 record belonged to a SwimMAC Carolina relay that included Matthew Josa, Michael Chadwick, Jack Manchester, and Kyle Darmody, who went 1:20.44 in 2012.

The old 15-18 record was done by the Scottsdale Aquatic Club in 2013, when Ryan Hoffer, Nicholas Magana, Joseph Starkweather, and Jack Blake combined for a 1:19.56. They were not eligible for either the 15-16 or 17-18 records, as they had both age groups represented in the relay.
