Van Mathias swam to his second Pro Series Record this week, touching in a 58.32. That broke Michael Andrew‘s previous Pro Series Record of a 58.67 from 2021 also set in Indianapolis.

Earlier this week, Mathias swam to a Pro Series and American Record with a 26.30 50 breaststroke. He notably scratched the 50 fly this morning to focus on the 100 breast.

Mathias was faster than Andrew’s previous Pro Series record on both 50s. Mathias has a lifetime best 58.19 from April’s Bergen Swim Festival, a time that sits him at the top of the World so far this year.
