Jack Alexy Scratches 50 Free, Ryan Erisman Scratches 400 Free On Day 3 Prelims Of Indy Pro Series

Friday Prelims Heat Sheets

Some of the top seeds set to compete in Indianapolis this week have scratched their events for Friday. Top seed Jack Alexy has scratched the 50 free. Alexy already scratched the 200 free and 50 back this week. His only remaining event is the 100 free.

Sean Niewold, the #4 seed in the 50 free, is the only other top 16 scratch on the men’s side. The 50 free was his first scheduled event of the meet.

Maxine Parker is the only scratch in the top 16 in the women’s 50 free as Parker the #6 seed will not race in the event. This was also her first scheduled race of the meet.

Also scratching an event is Ryan Erisman who was the top seed in the men’s 400 free. Erisman won the men’s 400 IM last night but will not race today. Erisman swam a lifetime best 3:44.03 in the 400 free at the AP Race International Meet last month. #2 seed Lucas Henveaux and #6 seed Luke Whitlock have also scratched the 400 free.

The men’s 200 fly saw scratches from #3 seed Gabe Jett and #4 seed Jack Dahlgren. Jett notably won the 200 fly at both the Austin and Westmont Pro Series stops earlier this year.

The 200 back has no top 16 scratches on either the men’s or women’s side. The 400 free did not have any top 16 scratches on the women’s side.
