2025 World Championships: Day 8 Finals – Relay Lineups (Women’s 4×100 Medley)

2025 World Championships

The USA have put their strongest quartet out, with the expected team of Regan Smith, Kate Douglass, Gretchen Walsh and Torri Huske being chosen. They should be favorites for gold, ahead of an Australian team that made one change with Ella Ramsay coming in on the breaststroke leg for Sienna Toohey.

Canada use their star Summer McIntosh on a relay for the first time this week, and the back half of her and Taylor Ruck could be a quick one. They will duke it out with China and NAB for bronze, both of whom made wholesale changes to their lineup with three and two new swimmers respectively.

Wu QIngfeng is a notable ommission for chine after she split 52.66 on their mixed medley relay, but Yujie Cheng was 53.34 for 6th in the individual final and gets the place here. Daria Klepikova and Daria Trofimova have thrown down rapid relay splits all week for NAB, and their is a dangerous back end out of lane 8.

Germany, Japan and Great Britain all return the same lineups as this morning, as the race for the medals looks to be in lanes 4-8 tonight .

The Lineups

Each swimmer’s fastest split so far is noted here, with ‘*’ denoting a flat start time if faster or no split time has been recorded for them yet.

I find Claire’s comment about Kaylee on Instagram curious.
She told her she’s excited for September. Maybe Kaylee will spend a month in Virginia before the World Cup.

Is the winner of the 1500m disqualified for leaving the pool before all his competitors have finished?

And even in NCAA the rule is about interference if I’m not mistaken. He jumped out of his lane on the deck and smiled for the cameras.
