DAY 2 FINALS RECAP

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for…day 2 results for the SwimSwam Pick’em contest are here! Day 2 was a lighter schedule than day 1, featuring finals of the men’s 100 breast, women’s 100 fly, men’s 50 fly, and women’s 200 IM. Unlike day 1, there weren’t a lot of clear favorites in today’s finals, save for maybe Caeleb Dressel in the men’s 50 fly. That led to much lower scores on day 2 than day 1, although we still had some people do very well.

A very special shoutout to screen name “ArubanInFlorida”, who was the only contestant to have Dylan Carter in their top 4 for the men’s 50 fly, and moreover, they correctly picked Carter for a 4th place finish.

Today’s winner is “balls”, who I can only assume is a water polo player. “Balls” had a great day 2, scoring 62 points, which was 4 more than anyone else on the day. They really did have an incredible day 2, getting all 4 event winners correct. Additionally, they picked 1-2-3 correctly in both the men’s 50 fly and 100 breast, and 1st and 2nd correctly in the women’s 100 fly.

With the strong day 2 performance, “balls” is also the overall leader through day 2, having accumulated 129 points so far.

After my 422 place day one, I decided to start at the bottom and scrolled up, and up, and up and up and whammy, 13th today.

I remind myself of Dressel, the first day I’m just finding my feel for the water.

I’m with u. I didn’t look at this spots at all. Then finally found myself in 6th. Might be my first time in to 25

I laughed at “balls” for what seemed like at least ten seconds.
