Olga Espinosa, Olympian, coach talks about Mickayla Hinkle’s 2nd place 100 back

Olga Splichalova Espinosa talks with Katrina Radke about her swimmer, Mickayla Hinkle, a sophomore in high school who did a personal best by almost a full second in the 100 yard backstroke, to get second to Missy Franklin, at the MN Grand Prix. Her time was 53.55 seconds in the final.

Olga, Head Coach at St. Croix Swim Club in Minnesota, NCAA Swimmer for the University of Minnesota, and two-time Olympian from Czech Republic, was happy to see that Mickayla was able to step up and race next to Missy, as Missy has been such a role model for her, especially after the summer Olympics.

Olga also shares how they work as a team to fully utilize pool time, and work together to bring out their best.

Enjoy!
