Swimming last week at the Akron, Ohio Sectional Championships, 16-year old Regan Smith from the Riptide Swim Team in Minnesota swam 3 15-16 National Age Group Record-breaking times in 2 different events. She eventually settled at 50.84 in the 100 yard back and 1:48.30 in the 200 yard back, the latter of which pushed her to 4th in the event all-time for swimmers of any age.

Smith, a member of the 2017-2018 USA Swimming National Team, finished 8th at the 2017 World Championships in the 200 meter back.

Missy has never been a great short course swimmer compared to long course.
Regan’s turns and underwaters are much better.
