Before we can truly focus our full attention on the excitement that revolves around the 2016 Rio Olympics, the NCAA swimming and diving season will boil down to its annual men’s and women’s championships this spring.
Tickets to this year’s NCAA Championships, which will be hosted by Georgia Tech for both the men’s and women’s meets, can be purchased here. They are set at $85 a pop, and only all-session packages are available for purchase.
This is the 2nd time in Georgia Tech history that they will be hosting the NCAA Championships, as they hosted in 2006. The women’s meet is slated for March 16-19, while the men will follow up a week later, from March 23-26.
2015 saw the Texas men steamroll to victory, their insane depth highlighted when they managed to vault six swimmers into the 100 fly A final. On the women’s side, it was Missy Franklin and the Cal Golden Bears who rose to the top. This year, the Longhorn men again look frighteningly powerful, while the perennial powers Cal, Georgia, Stanford, and Virginia will duke it out on the women’s side.
