Texas-TCU dual cancelled due to poor travel conditions

The inter-state dual meet scheduled for tonight between TCU and Texas has been cancelled because of the poor travel conditions brought on by the recent wave of winter weather hitting the Austin, Texas area, according to both teams.

The University of Texas officially closed the campus and cancelled classes early Friday morning, but the meet was still expected to happen anyways, per a note still on the Texas Swim and Dive schedule as of 10:30 this morning. But those plans have now been scuttled because the sleet and freezing rain hitting Texas have made travel too difficult.

Because this was their last scheduled Big-12 meet, the cancellation means the TCU Horned Frog women will end the season undefeated within the conference

The meet still went on without TCU. The score was very similar to what it would have been had TCU been there.
