The Oakland Golden Grizzlies have won their 9th-consecutive men’s and women’s Horizon League Titles, tying the conference record for titles.
Jay Jensen recorded five individual wins across two dual meets, while Nhia Caras picked up two individual wins, along with being a part of two relay wins.
UIC’s Cydney Liebenberg won the women’s 1-meter and 3-meter, while Felix Lafortune topped the men’s 3-meter and was the runner-up in the 1-meter.
Oakland’s Marko Khotynetski and Jordyn Shipps earned Swimmer of the Week accolades, while UIC’s Felix Lafortune and Cyndey Liebenberg claimed diving honors.
UChicago defeated UIC on Friday. Both teams turned around for more meet action on Saturday, beginning to wrap up the regular season.
Cleveland State’s Timothy Kubacki and IUPUI’s Emmaleigh Zietlow earned Horizon League Swimmer of the Week honors.
UIC’s Felix Lafortune and Cydney Liebenberg were also named the conference’s Men’s and Women’s Diver of the Week.
Flames Cydney Liebenberg broke her own 1-meter school record and Felix LaFortune won both individual events at the UIC Diving Invitational on Saturday.
