This guy is impressive : He talks and looks like a 20 year old or even older while he is only 15 .
I love to see such maturity in swimming and life in general . Way to be Reece , perfect

I like the quote “I can’t go out fast like those big guys”… bro is 6’8” 235#… one day he is going to be a big(ger) guy… exciting to think about. Go Reece!

He might well be 7 feet soon ! Only a few guys on the swimming planet are around 6’8″ : Grevers , Whitley and Peter Timmers from Belgium as far as know . He could be the tallest swimmer on the planet in 2 years . Wowwwwwwwwwwwww

The tallest I know of at the elite level is Ari-Pekka Liukkonen, who is listed at 6’10”. Damir Dugonjic also lists at 6’8″.

Interesting to note that despite Whitley being typically considered a much better backhalf swimmer than Michael Andrew , Whitley actually lost the record on the backhalf (32.65
For Whitley and 32.38 for Andrew) . However , I do think Whitley will beat Andrew this summer with Whitley in the 1:00 range and Andrew in 1:01.2

Andrew didn’t look good at all at South Africa nationals a few weeks ago. He was used to always swimming fast at every meet so it was very strange.
I really don’t know what to expect. Either he starts a long period of stagnation like some other previous early NAG record breakers or perhaps he has recently changed his training regimen and he concocts us big time drops next summer. But right now I’m pretty pessimistic. Which is rare coming from me. Again, we’ll have the answers in August.
It would be cool to see Whitley and Andrew both represent USA at world junior championships on breaststroke. 2 giants! 🙂
