NC State’s 5th Verbal Comes from Dayton Raiders’ Eric Knowles

Eric Knowles, a senior at Xenia Christian High School in Xenia, Ohio, has chosen North Carolina State University to be his home for the next four years.

“I’m excited to announce that I will be joining the Wolfpack next season! The intensity and closeness of the team along with the academic opportunities make it a great all around fit. Go Pack!!”

Knowles specializes in IM and mid-distance freestyle. He is the two-time reigning Ohio State High School Division 2 champion in the 200y IM and the defending champion in the 500y free. Swimming for Dayton Raiders, Knowles won the 400m IM at 2016 Speedo Summer Junior Nationals and finaled in the 200 free, 400 free, 800 free, 1500 free, and 200 IM.

He earned PBs in almost every event during the 2015-16 swim season, and improved significantly on his prior bests, as seen in below.

Pretty sure it was a joke based off of the fact that most of the recruits for the class of 2017 at NC State have been great 50 free swimmers.
