Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Corinne Warriner from Chandler, Arizona, will swim and study at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, beginning in 2025-26. At the time of her commitment, she wrote:
“I am honored to announce my verbal commitment to swim, study, and serve at the United States Naval Academy! I want to thank my family, friends, Coach Justin, Coach Alex, and my teammates for their constant support and guidance throughout this journey. A special thanks to Coach Carlye and Coach Morrison for this incredible opportunity, and to the women of @navywomenswimdive for creating an environment that feels like a second family. I’m excited to see how God will guide me over the next four years! Go Navy, Beat Army!! 🐐⚓️ Matthew 19:26”
Warriner, who has already started her Plebe Summer, graduated from Hamilton High School, having competed for the girls’ varsity swimming and diving team. She won the 100 breast (1:02.91) and placed 9th in the 200 IM (2:08.91) as a junior at the 2023 AIA Division I State Championships. Both were PBs at the time. This past season, she was runner-up in the breast (1:02.94) and came in 7th in the IM (2:09.17).
Her best times come from club swimming. She trains and competes year-round with Swim Neptune and has achieved a Summer Juniors standard in the 100 breast and a Winter Juniors qualification in the 200 breast.
Warriner had a big meet at the Four Corners Spring Sectionals in Austin, where she came in 2nd in the 100 breast (1:02.14), 11th in the 200 breast (2:17.10), and 31st in the 200 IM (2:07.65), and left the meet with new PBs in the 100 free, 100 breast, and 400 IM.
Before leaving for Annapolis this summer, she managed to hit PBs in the LCM 100 fly and 400 IM at the Sun Devil Open. Her best long course times date from Mt. Hood Sectionals last July, where she placed 5th in the 100 breast (1:13.16) and 4th in the 200 breast (2:39.30).
