Liberty’s Fox Repeats as CCSA Diver of the Week

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty freshman Brooke Fox has been named CCSA Women’s Diver of the Week for the second week in a row, after a record-breaking weekend in Texas.

Fox has earned Diver of the Week honors after each of her first two collegiate competitions. She is the first Lady Flame to be named CCSA Diver of the Week, and also the first student-athlete in program history to receive back-to-back weekly conference honors.

Hailing from Nazareth, Pa., Fox broke the program records in both the one-meter springboard and three-meter springboard on Friday at TCU. She placed seventh in one-meter diving, scoring 236.93 points the previous mark of 228.67, held by her sister, Courtney Fox. She later finished seventh in three-meter diving with 212.10 points, besting Madi Long’s record of 201.00. Fox capped the weekend with fifth-place finishes in both one-meter (215.03) and three-meter (199.35) during Saturday’s meet at North Texas.

Fox and the Lady Flames will conclude the dual-meet portion of their fall schedule on Saturday at 11 a.m., competing at James Madison.
