Make doubles normal again!
🗣️ Louder for the people in the back!
Great swimmer, my favourite US swimmer with the GOAT Ledecky.
How can you not like a swimmer that is world class in both 100 free & 200 Breast.
I bet K. Douglass will swim the 100 BR (Days 2 & 3) in lieu of the 200 IM (Days 1 & 2) at the 2027 World Aquatics Championships in order to be fresh for the W 4 x 100 FR-R (Day 1).
I’d take that bet any day
The 2027 Worlds schedule will mirror the new Olympic schedule
She’s an ICON!!!! Best swimmer in the world
Apart from a Frenchman and Canadian woman.
Also, an Australian woman and, depending on how much one values versatility, a Romanian man.
Let’s total up winnings from pro and international events in 2025. Answer not so clear I’m afraid.
we comparing bank accounts now?
I was thinking Int’l wins but $ works if that’s what you want.
from another UVA alum, I’m afraid you may be going a little bit homer on this one 🙂
She is definitely incredible all around – in much more than swimming, too – but even I wouldn’t (do a ranking in the first place) say she’s over McIntosh and Marchand…
Show me where I said she was better than either of them. Don’t be cavalier about it. My point was in 2025 in SCM and LCM, she had more wins.
In fact, I think her and Summer are perfect complements—only to occasionally meet in the 2IM.

You literally wrote “Best swimmer in the world” above. “Best” literally means better than everyone else.
Where? You’re reading someone else’s post.
To be clear my post was about international wins and if you want winnings. In that sense, she wasn’t outdone in 2025. Of others if others want to parse wins and grade them go ahead. That was not my point.
There were several amazing individual swims during the year, among them was Kate’s 49.
Not even best swimmer in USA LOL
Who has had a better 2025? I’ll wait.
Katie Ledecky broke LCM WR and won more world championship individual gold.
Nope. Include all international with World Cups, not close.
Sorry but you are absolutely delusional if you think 4 individual golds at worlds is worth less than winning 9 golds at SCM World cups lol. That’s just… what? Lol
You think that is all she won?
And I don’t FWIW.
To be clear… her elite performance consistency transcends just swimming. It exceeds most stars of other sports as well!
So consistent, it is scary.
Are talking to himself?
Except Luke Littler in Darts ! 😄
