How Carmel High School is Making Use of Their New $55M Aquatics Facility

 

Carmel High School is wasting no time putting its newest investment to good use. After completing construction on a $55 million aquatics facility that includes a 50m Olympic-size pool, a dive well, and a therapy pool (not to mention it’s attached to the old 50m pool, which is still in use), ‘Swim City’ is rocking and rolling.

They aren’t just playing host to the first stop of the World Cup circuit this weekend, where 1000+ fans are packing the stands nightly. Athletic Director Jim Inskeep tells us that with over 500 club and high school swimmers, both pools are routinely full on any given weeknight, fueling Carmel’s namesake for years to come.

Those SCM pool records are getting off to a fast start. Probably not too many high school pools that feature a WR for a pool record.
