Greece Names 14 Swimmers to European Championships Roster

Before the Olympics go down in August, London will host the 2016 LEN European Championships in mid-May. Greece recently released its roster for these championships, highlighted by Kristian Gkolomeev and Apostolos Christou.

Gkolomeev co-earned the 50 free NCAA title with Brad Tandy in his freshman year at the University of Alabama and finished with an NCAA title all to himself in the 100 free last season. He’s Greece’s premier sprint freestyler.

Meanwhile, Christou is the former World Junior Record holder in the 100 backstroke.

The men’s roster also features national records holders Stefanos DimitriadisPanagiotis Samilidis, and Andreas Vazaios.

The women’s roster is headed by national record holders Nora Drakou and Kristel Vourna.
