Four Indiana Divers Qualify for Finals at Winter Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS – Competing as individuals, four current Indiana University divers and alumni qualified for the finals of the women’s 10-meter platform and the men’s 3-meter springboard Thursday at the 2015 USA Diving Winter National Championships and World Cup Trials at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

In the women’s 10-meter platform, IU alumna Amy Cozad is the top qualifier heading in toSaturday’s final with a score of 663.05. Competing as an individual, Indiana’s Jessica Parratto is the third overall qualifier for the final with a total of 646.00.

In the men’s 3-meter springboard, Michael Hixon, competing as an individual, qualified second overall for Saturday’s final with a score of 442.45. IU alum Darian Schmidt qualified for the final by placing 13th with a mark of 358.05.

In the morning prelims, Joshua Arndt, competing as an individual, placed 22nd with a score of 329.80.

Action resumes on Friday for the Indiana individuals and alumni with the prelims and semifinals of the women’s 3-meter springboard and prelims and semifinals of the men’s 10-meter platform.
