Women’s Highlights (Morning)
Highlighting the morning on the women’s side was Eva Okaro of Texas as she posted a 47.06 to earn the win in the women’s 100 freestyle. That marked her first school record as it broke the previous record of a 47.32 set by Claire Adams in 2018. The race came down to the wire as Tennessee’s Camille Spink touched 2nd in a 47.07. The two now sit at #2 and #3 in the NCAA this season.
Okaro also out-touched Spink while leading off the women’s 200 free relay. Okaro led off the winning relay for Texas in a 21.54, touching just 0.01 ahead of Spink who led Tennessee to 2nd. Texas’s winning relay also consisted of Erin Gemmell, Lillie Nesty, and Lucy Mehraban.
Jillian Cox of Texas swam to a win in the women’s 1000 free by over 15 seconds, leading a Texas 1-2-3 finish sweep. Cox swam to a 9:26.11, dropping almost three seconds off her season best of a 9:29.01 that she swam two weeks ago against Alabama. She sits at #2 in the NCAA this season only behind Florida’s Julie Brousseau who swam a 9:25.50. Cox won the 500 free and 1650 free NCAA titles this past season.
Campbell Stoll swam to two wins during the morning, first winning the 200 fly in a 1:52.25. Stoll already sat at the top of the NCAA this season with a 1:53.89 from the dual meet against Alabama but now sits at #1 by over two seconds. Stoll also won the 400 IM in a 4:04.49 and used a strong breaststroke leg to pass Tennessee’s Ella Jansen who was 2nd in a 4:04.96. Those are the top two times in the NCAA this season.
Stoll also teamed up alongside Emma Kern, Piper Enge, and Okaro who swam to a win in the 400 medley relay in a 3:28.97. Enge also touched first in the 200 breast with a 2:09.10, dropping half a second from their time of a 2:09.52 from the dual meet against Alabama.
Lillie Nesty was the final winner in the morning on the women’s side as she won the 200 back in a 1:52.81. That was only 0.30 off her lifetime best of a 1:52.51 from SECs last February.
Men’s Highlights (Morning)
Leading the way on the men’s side was Rex Maurer as he first won the 1000 free in a 8:42.30. He was only a second off his best time of a 8:41.23 that he swam last January in a dual meet against Texas A&M. Maurer is the American Record holder in the 500 free and won the 2025 NCAA title in the 500 free as well.
Later in the session, Maurer swam to another win touching in a 3:41.19 in the 400 IM to touch a second ahead of teammate Baylor Nelson who swam to a 3:42.19. Nelson is an NCAA All-American in the event and transferred to Texas from Texas A&M this offseason. Those are the top two times in the NCAA so far this season.
The Tennessee men were led by Gui Caribe who earned the win in the 100 free with a 41.93, touching ahead of teammate Nikoli Blackman who was 2nd in a 42.30. The two were members of Tennessee’s 200 and 400 free relays that won NCAA titles in March.
Caribe and Blackman teamed up with Pedro Sansone and Kamal Muhammad to win the men’s 200 free relay in a 1:16.19. Caribe led off in a 18.92 while Blackman split a 18.75. Only Garrett Gould of Texas was also under the 19 second mark as he swam a 18.63 on the Texas relay that swam to 2nd. Tennessee’s other win came from Martin Espernberger who won the 200 fly in a 1:41.86.
Will Modglin won the men’s 200 backstroke for Texas with a 1:39.41, notably faster than his time of a 1:39.53 that he swam for 8th at 2025 NCAAs. Nate Germonprez of Texas also earned a win with a 200 breast 1:52.25 200 breast, touching ahead of teammate Campbell McKean who swam a 1:53.49.
Modglin and Germonprez teamed up to help Texas to a win in the men’s 400 medley relay. The relay also consisted of Ryan Branon and Rafael Fente-Damers as they touched in a 3:04.92. Modglin notably led off in a 44.57.

Revenge is sweet served at NCAAs by Spink in the 50 and 100!
My favorite part has gotta be Garrett Gould 19.18, Rafael Fente-Damers+Calvin Fry- 19.26. Texas back to having sprinters
Also, can we get some info on Jack Kelly training at Texas now?
Working on it…
