Elevation Athletics IMer Connor Hassert Commits to Fordham (2021)

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Fordham has added Elevation Athletics’ Connor Hassert to their class of 2025 coming this fall. Hassert is a senior at Silver Creek High School in Colorado.

Fordham is a college that will help me grow as a student and a swimmer. I can’t wait to spend the next four years in an amazing city along with an even better team. Go Rams! Huge shoutout to my family, teammates, coaches, and friends who have helped me get here!

  • 200 IM – 1:56.69
  • 400 IM – 4:12.36
  • 100 back – 53.66
  • 200 back – 1:56.06

Hassert has gone lifetime bests in all of his best events since the pandemic hit. In fact, they’re all as recently as March, when he competed at the Phoenix Sectional Championships.

In the IMs, Hassert has come down from 1:58.61 and 4:18.81 to his current bests, dropping over six seconds in the 400.

During the 2019-20 season, Hassert would’ve been fourth on Fordham’s roster in both IMs. It took a 1:51.0 and a 4:03 to make it back to B-finals in the IM events at the 2020 Atlantic-10 Championships.

Hassert joins Evan Trout in Fordham’s incoming class.
