Texas A&M’s Connor Foote redshirted the 2025-2026 NCAA season but will return to the Aggies for the 2026-2027 season. Despite redshirting, Foote is still throwing down some fast times while competing at club meets.
Foote swam to numerous wins at the Gulf 13&Over Championships in his home pool at Texas A&M. He was highlighted by a 18.81 in the 50 free, 41.80 in the 100 free, and a 44.89 in the 100 fly. All three were just off his lifetime bests of a 18.67 in the 50 free, 41.38 100 free, and 44.34 in the 100 fly. All three of those sit as his school records at Texas A&M as he swam them at the 2025 SEC Championships. He most notably finaled in the 50 free at the 2025 NCAA Championships swimming a 18.78 for 10th.
His times from this weekend would have still made the 2026 NCAA Championships as the “cutline” fell at a 18.81 in the 50 free, 41.81 in the 100 free, and a 44.91 in the 100 fly. Logan Brown is the only swimmer that earned an invite for Texas A&M as he earned invites in the 200 IM and 200 breast.
Also highlighting the Gulf 13& Over Championships on the boys side was Kolby Martin as the 17 year old swam to a 1:49.79 in the 200 fly. That was just 0.07 seconds off his lifetime best. The uncommitted junior had a strong February, swimming to numerous best times at the UIL 5A State Championships just a week prior.
Leading the way on the girls side was Princeton commit Isabella Muir who swam to a lifetime best in the 200 fly as she touched in a 2:02.15, dropping 0.83 seconds in the win. Muir did not race in the distance free events, which are her primary events.
