CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State opened the home portion of its schedule with a 157-143 victory over St. Bonaventure on Saturday afternoon.
Ellie Seiter won both diving events, 1-meter (263.93) and 3-meter (281.10).
Isabella Caraballo won both distance events on the weekend: the 1650-yard freestyle (17:07.71) and 500-yard freestyle (5:06.65).
Cleveland State claimed the 200-yard medley relay after Audrey Butcher, Ella Ciez, Rosie Whitten, and Gracie Chelf finished in 1:44.27.
The Green and White went first and second in the 100-yard breaststroke with Ciez (1:05.71) and Skyler Turner (1:06.65).
Butcher (2:08.79) won the 200-yard butterfly with Riley Ogilvie (2:10.41) as the runner-up.
Chelf sprinted to a time of 23.69 to win the 50-yard freestyle.
The 200-yard breaststroke went to Turner (2:25.85) and Ciez (2:27.30) coming in second.
The Vikings remain home to face Youngstown State on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m.

Xander Austin won 1-meter diving with a score of 312.38.
Noah Lang claimed the 1650-yard freestyle after putting up a time of 15:52.75.
The Vikings took the 200-yard medley relay behind Jaden Davillier, Tyler Schultze, Justin Schneider, and Daniel Lyngaas with a time of 1:30.87.
Gabe Hudgens claimed the 200-yard freestyle after touching in 1:43.97.
The 100-yard backstroke went to Davillier as the freshman put up a time of 50.58.
Cleveland State dominated the 100-yard breaststroke, taking the top four spots, led by Alex Cucu (56.80).
Aidan Rush sprinted to a time of 21.94 to win the 50-yard freestyle.
The Green and White took the top three spots in the 100-yard freestyle behind Lyngaas (46.05), Parkhurst (46.69), and Hudgens (46.80).
In the 200-yard backstroke, Brock Wallace (1:52.23) won the event with Tanner Beck (1:53.03) in second, and Noah Greer (1:56.24) in third.
Schultze (2:06.35) claimed the 200-yard breaststroke with Gorkem Sulun (2:07.83) in second and Aidan Florio (2:08.76) in third.
Ahmad Abdalhak claimed the final individual race, the 200-yard IM, with a time of 1:54.47.
The meet concluded with the 400-yard freestyle relay of Lyngaas, Jacopo Lanzo, Hudgens, and Parkhurst winning with a time of 3:03.79.
The Vikings remain home to face Youngstown State on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m.

CLEVELAND, OH – The St. Bonaventure women’s swim and dive team delivered a strong performance at Cleveland State, collecting multiple individual wins and relay victories across the two-day meet. Despite falling to the Vikings, 157–143, the Bonnies posted standout efforts from underclassmen and program veterans alike.
Freshman Kate Hill continued to shine, winning the 100-freestyle (52.38), finishing runner-up in the 50-free (24.11), and contributing to the winning 400-freestyle relay team (3:31.73) alongside Sophie Baker, Laila Chance, and Nele Vetter.
Baker also claimed victories of her own, taking first in the 100-backstroke (56.03) and 100-butterfly (58.40) while earning a third-place finish in the 50-free (24.59).
Junior Anna Bojana Forjan posted wins in the 200-backstroke (2:04.53) and 200-individual medley (2:10.68) while adding a fourth-place finish in the 100-breaststroke (1:09.42).
Senior Katie Beyer captured the top spot in the 200-freestyle (1:54.72) and added a runner-up mark in the 200-back (2:07.75). Teammate Chance was third in the 200-free (1:55.87) and fourth in the 100-free (54.55) while Freshman Cameron Darnell added a podium finish in the 200-fly (2:11.82).
In distance events, Phoebe McClaren placed second in the 1650-free (17:18.29) and 500-free (5:10.66), while Alessandra Ren took third in the 500-free (5:13.16).
The Bonnies earned key relay points as the 200-medley relay team of Daciana Colon, Paris Christie, Vetter, and Forjan placed third (1:50.59), and the second Bona’s 400-free relay of Beyer, Mia Hill, Maris Sadowski, and Sarah Gonzalez placed third (3:41.07).
On the boards, sophomore Dhavgely Mendoza was runner-up in both the 1-meter (241.80) and 3-meter dives (260.63), while freshman Lia Doskoris finished fourth on each.

The Bonnies will cap off their opening bout of road meets next weekend at Niagara.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Senior Ben O’Neill, sophomore Mark Mizsei, and freshman Matheus Rinaldi led the way for the St. Bonaventure men’s swimming and diving team in a 200-100 loss at Cleveland State. The meet began on Friday evening and continued through Saturday afternoon.
O’Neill found early success on Friday, winning the 3-meter dive with a score of 327.45, defeating his competition by over 25 points. He also tabbed a second-place finish from the 1-meter board, scoring 298.80 points.
Rinaldi also had a hot start, placing second in the 1650-free on Friday with a time of 15:56.52. He would continue on to win the 500-free on Saturday, clocking in at 4:43.68.
Mizsei collected two event wins, pacing the field with a time of 1:49.55 in the 200-free before capturing a victory in the 100-fly with a mark of 49.37.
Freshman Emanuele Zingaro and junior Joseph Pyon finished back-to-back in the 50-free, giving Bona’s two podium spots in the event. Zingaro tabbed a time of 21.38 and Pyon followed him closely with a mark of 21.43.
Senior Luigi Termine turned in another good performance in the 100-back, placing second with a time of 50.90 and narrowly missing out on first place.
Other Bonnies with strong appearances were freshman David Mutter, who earned second place in the 200-free with a mark of 1:44.46, and junior Kevyn Collazo Torres, who collected a second-place finish of his own in the 200 IM with a time of 1:54.62.
