Jeremie DeZwirek
Jeremie DeZwirek is a senior backstroke specialist at UC Berkeley. The 6’4″ former Ivy League Champion transferred to Cal after spending one year at Columbia University. Born May 29, 1993 in Mountain View, DeZwirek grew up in the nearby city of San Jose, Calif. where he attended Archbishop Mitty. He’s got an athletic family, and his sister, Laurence DeLisle, swam for UCLA down in southern California. An impressive athlete himself, DeZwirek is also spending a lot of time in the library these days considering he’s a Molecular Cell Biology major, and is interest in becoming a dentist. He says that he looks forward to the Cal Poly Invite because it’s the first opportunity for freshman to represent Cal.

2011-2012
DeZwirek was the Ivy League champion in the 200 backstroke.

UC Berkeley
2012-2013
After choosing to leave Columbia, DeZwirek transferred to Cal.

2013-2014
In his junior season DeZwirek finished 18th in the 100 backstroke, but also competed in the 200 backstroke and 50 freestyle at the 2014 Pac 12 Championships.

2014-2015
DeZwirek is competing in his final season as a Cal Bear.

National Competition
In high school competition DeZwirek was a high school Academic All-American as well as the Archbishop Mitty school record holder in the 100 butterfly.
